These fun and hands-on sessions are focused on basic bushcraft skills, including fire lighting knowledge and skills. Participants will learn about different fire starting methods, the types of materials needed, fire safety, and practical fire-building techniques. Some of the sessions will include wood whittling and basic carving techniques.
In some of the sessions (see event info) we will prepare food over the fire. Cooking is the art and skill of preparing food in the wilderness using minimalistic tools and techniques. Outdoor cooking varies heavily from conventional cooking in a kitchen, as it relies on specialised bushcraft cooking supplies that are portable, durable, and suited for the ruggedness of the outdoors.
These sessions are not all about the bushcraft. We see a growing need for people in our communities to reconnect with each other and nature. We love to bring people together to harness the power of nature and connections to overcome improve wellbeing and build peoples resilience.
