This is an invitation to a Make – a – Mend 1 night retreat at the beautiful Milhouse. We are offering a Kintsugi inspired gathering for you to explore new ways to encounter the stories of your body through your mending hands, using the art form of kintsugi – the art of healing.
The philosophy of Kintsugi (meaning “golden joinery” in Japanese) is about being non-judgemental, accepting, and compassionate towards ourselves. You will explore the connections between the Kintsugi way and seeing the beauty in our own brokenness.
Kintsugi can be used to explore how to value the journey of life, how to carry our brokenness well, and how to see the beauty in our cracks and those of others.
My lovely friend Joy will be flying in from the UK to deliver the beautiful workshop. Joy is an educator, mentor, speaker and author, and a keen farmer and water weaver. Joy is a very experienced Kintsugi practitioner who is keen to journey alongside you by minding stories of your bodies.
We will also be joined by our lovely friend Sarah who will also be travelling from the UK. Sarah will guide you through a relaxing mind/body practice to set you up for a restful sleep.
Our retreats are carefully designed to foster empowerment, renewal and spiritual alignment, offering a sanctuary for those looking to deepen their connection with themselves and the world around them.
